DIFF in 2025

The Donetsk International Film Festival (DIFF), by order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, is included in the list of international film festivals held on the territory of the Russian Federation for 2025.

The preparatory process had begun long before this. Additionally, in September 2024, we secured support from leading experts in the film industry.
But until the last moment there was no confidence that our festival would be approved at the level of the Russian government.
The package of documents was completed in a short time immediately after the publication of the requirements of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and sent to Moscow. Thanks to our Moscow friends, the documents were transferred directly to the Ministry. And only in the last days of the outgoing year the order with the approved list of festivals was signed.
DIFF is the first film festival in the history of Donbass.
