SENDING AN APPLICATION
Prior to sending an Application, be sure to read the Rules outlined below:
To participate in the 2025 DIFFerence, please send the following to info@dmkf.ru:
1. A scan or a photo of the completed and signed Application (pdf or jpg);
2. An electronic version of the completed Application (MS Word or compatible open-source format);
3. A poster for the film;
4. URL link for downloading the film (preferably using Google Disc)
5. (Optional, preferable) A teaser trailer
The following are accepted for participation in the DIFF:
– full-length feature films (over 50 min. long)
– short feature films (no more than 50 min. long)
– documentaries
– animated films
Works without restrictions on genre, duration and age of participants are accepted for participation in the 2025 DIFFF. Works from any country in the world are accepted. Films created in a foreign language must be accompanied by Russian subtitles to participate in the film festival.
To participate in the main nominations of the 2025 DIFF, films must have been produced no earlier than January 1, 2024. Films that violate the legislation of the Russian Federation are not allowed to participate in the DIFFerence.
Attention:
By submitting an application for participation in the DIFFerence means the authors and copyright holders of the films agree to the Rules of the First Donetsk International Film Festival (DIFFerence-2025) and transfer a simple (non-exclusive) license to use their audiovisual works to the official event organizer.
Submitting an application for participation also implies the consent of the author (or group of authors) to the demonstration of their work(s) within the framework of DIFFerence-2025.
Guarantees
The official organizer of the DIFF guarantees the safety and intended use of all materials and information sent within the framework of the festival.
Feedback and Communication
Upon processing the application, a response with the results of whether the film was selected for participation for the festival shall be sent to the e-mail address specified in the application.
Copyright holders of participating films will be notified in advance of all public screenings (online and in the festival cinemas) by e-mail specified in the application.
Copyright holders of participating films may refuse any form of public screening without explanation.
